Aiguilles are defined as “a sharp-pointed pinnacle of rock”, and dome is defined as “a large hemispherical roof or ceiling”. The use of words like these really help readers better imagine what the character is seeing and the emotions that come with it. (Edit) This also shows that Shelley is once again showing how great nature is and how small and insignificant human kind and Victor are.

and what are those emotions for victor? why does he, as a character, focus on those details when relating his story? why not just 'mountains'?
